Location: Birmingham

Salary: Base salary £32,050 pa to c. £37,700 pa. Additional 15% flexible benefits fund paid on top of base salary, fully pensionable.

As an Assistant Commercial Manager, you will support the delivery of commercial activities within the Delivery teams, working alongside supply chain and contractors to assure and support commercial activities.

About the role:
Pre‑contract
  • Responsible for supporting the development of commercial works information, reviewing works information from other functions and drafting contract documents.
Procurement
  • Responsible for supporting the development of a contract management plan.
Post contract
  • Responsible for supporting the delivery of contract management of the contracts to maintain effective commercial control.
  • Responsible for supporting the administration of the obligations of the Project Manager under the NEC3 Contract.
  • Responsible for supporting the valuation of variations and compensation events.
  • Responsible for supporting contract payments assessment.
  • Responsible for supporting the review and analysis of supply chain monthly reports.
  • Responsible for supporting the input into contract level performance information into monthly MBR reports.
  • Responsible for supporting the settlement of supply chain disputes.
  • Responsible for supporting estimate reviews (at all stages).
  • Actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.
