Assistant Building Surveyor – Brighton Residential & Public Sector Focus | Up to £40,000 + APC Support

A respected multidisciplinary consultancy in Brighton is looking for an ambitious Assistant Building Surveyor to join their team. With a strong client base across the residential and public sectors, this is an excellent opportunity to gain broad project exposure and progress your career towards chartership.The role offers hands-on experience across a wide range of professional and project-based surveying services. You’ll work alongside senior surveyors on everything from defect diagnosis to contract administration and new-build projects—ideal for someone looking to build a well-rounded foundation and achieve MRICS status.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out building surveys, site inspections, and defect analysisSupport the delivery of refurbishment, maintenance, and new-build projectsAssist in preparing schedules of work, specifications, and technical reportsWork with clients, contractors, and consultants throughout project deliveryContribute to contract administration and procurement processesMonitor project budgets and timelinesEnsure compliance with current building regulations and health & safety standardsRequirementsRICS-accredited degree in Building Surveying
  • Ideally currently enrolled on your APC
