Overview

Local authority in the East Midlands are currently looking for an asset valuation surveyor for a 12 month assignment.

My client is seeking an experienced Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer with a strong background in local authority asset valuation to support its Corporate Landlord and Finance Teams to deliver its asset valuation programme for 2025/2026 and beyond. The Asset Valuation Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing the outsourcing of asset valuations, ensuring a structured and effective program of work is in place to deliver comprehensive asset valuations over the next five years. The role will collaborate closely with the Corporate Landlord and Finance teams to plan, coordinate, and execute asset valuation activities, supporting both the completion of the Council\'s accounts and the requirements of external audit. In addition to managing outsourced valuations, the postholder will undertake asset valuations as needed and provide guidance and technical support to a wider team of surveyors, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all valuation outputs.
