The job role of an Asset Survey Operations Coordinator involves coordinating and managing various aspects of asset survey operations within an organization.
Asset survey operations typically refer to the process of collecting, analysing, and managing data related to the organization’s assets. These assets can include physical items like equipment, machinery, or infrastructure, as well as non‑physical assets like intellectual property or digital assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Coordination: Meticulously review project plans for optimal routes, timelines, and coverage. Coordinate on‑site planning, ensuring PPE, site access, and security adherence. Emphasise the significance of the role in asset survey operations.
- Preparation and Quality Control: Prepare comprehensive surveyor work packs with essential information. Thoroughly check survey input and output for data accuracy. Provide targeted training to surveyors, contributing to a skilled workforce.
- Communication, Compliance, and Improvement: Facilitate effective communication liaison for operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with standards for accuracy. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, driving enhancements in survey operations.
- Project Review: Meticulously review project plans, assessing routes, timelines, and coverage for asset survey operations.
- Work Pack Preparation: Set up surveyors for success by preparing comprehensive work packs, including floor plans, operation manuals, existing asset information, and existing details on preventative maintenance.
- On‑Site Coordination and Communications Liaison: Arrange on‑site requirements, ensuring provision of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), managing site access, security clearance, and enforcing protocols. Be the point of contact for site operations directly with client representatives or other related stakeholders.
- Quality Control: Thoroughly check survey input and output information, promptly rectifying inaccuracies to maintain data integrity before data quality assurance.
- Surveyor Training: Produce and implement targeted training for surveyors, addressing specific needs and contributing to a proficient workforce. Manage in‑house and external training.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate on strategic planning, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives, operations and deliverables.
- Logistical Coordination: Assist Asset Survey Coordinator with logistics for efficient asset survey operations, optimising resource use.
- Compliance Adherence: Ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards, emphasising compliance in all survey operations. Liaise with the compliance team as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance survey processes and overall efficiency.
- Data Management: Oversee the collection of raw data, ensure quality assurance, and manage data related to assets, maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date records.
- Problem Resolution: Address any issues or challenges during asset survey operations, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Additional Functions:
- Acknowledge that as the Asset Survey Operations Coordinator you may need to handle additional responsibilities outside the core surveying tasks, especially in dynamic or resource‑constrained environments.

Qualifications & Skills:
Qualifications:
- A qualification in a relevant field such as Surveying, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
Experience:
- Time served surveyor or relevant discipline trades person.
- Proven experience in project management, especially in coordinating and overseeing survey operations.
- Familiarity with the industry or sector in which the asset survey operations are conducted.
- Previous experience in asset survey operations, including data collection, analysis, and quality assurance.
- Experience in coordinating on‑site logistics and managing resources efficiently.
- Understanding and experience in ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Involvement in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying and implementing enhancements in processes.
Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective communication with internal teams, external vendors, and clients.
- Ability to contribute to strategic planning, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
- Strong problem‑solving skills to address challenges that may arise during asset survey operations.
