Overview

Psychology Graduate - Aspiring Educational Psychologist - Education and Training - Horsham. This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual with previous SEN experience or a Graduate with a keen interest in this area of work. It is a hands-on position working with social, emotional, mental health needs.

Job Title: Aspiring Educational Psychologist - Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant

Location: Horsham

Contract Type: Long Term Contract, 5 days a week, 8:30 - 15:30

This SEN LSA opportunity in Horsham focuses on raising attainment with children aged 4-11. As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will be working in classes of 5-8 students, with some students supported 1:1 by staff.

This role offers excellent grounding for an Aspiring Educational Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist and provides experience across areas including social, advocacy, mental health, and special educational needs. The school uses restorative, therapeutic approaches to education and behaviour management. Applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.

Requirements

  • Knowledge, keen interest or understanding of the range of different types of learning and behavioural needs (SEMH, PRU, Cognitive Behaviours)
