Overview

Our client is a highly successful asbestos company who provide a wide array of high quality services to clients nationwide. Due to their continued success they are now currently looking to recruit a hard-working, competent Asbestos Lab Supervisor based in and around the Basildon area. The ideal candidate will hold the P401 certificate and will have considerable experience in carrying out bulk analysis on asbestos samples. Consideration will be given to applications from Brentwood, Southend-on-Sea, Grays, Chelmsford and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience

• P401 or equivalent RSPH qualification
• Strong technical, quality, audits, laboratory and management background
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Proficient in Microsoft Office package
• Previous supervisory role in an asbestos laboratory environment
• Good attention to detail

Key Role

• Controlling and managing internal Quality Control slide checks
• Carrying out audit checks
• Ensuring that the slides are dealt with appropriately
• Checking analytical reports for accuracy, content etc
• Ensuring quality systems are carried out in accordance with the company’s procedures and policies
• Liaising with UKAS
• Building a strong and professional relationship with the company’s large portfolio of clients
• Overseeing staff to ensure work is carried out effectively and in a timely manner
