Job Title: Art Teacher
Location: Rotherham
Salary: Up to £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term; Full-Time / Part-Time

Are you a creative Art Teacher eager to nurture artistic talent and imagination in the classroom?
GSL Education are looking to recruit a motivated and innovative Art Teacher to join a welcoming school in Rotherham this September. This opportunity is open to both experienced teachers and ECTs who are passionate about art education and student development.

Role Overview:
As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering inspiring lessons that allow students to explore their creativity and develop key artistic skills. You will be joining a school that values the arts and supports a broad, balanced curriculum.

Role Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages, aligned with the national curriculum.
• Encourage students to explore different artistic techniques, media, and styles.
• Support the development of student portfolios and preparation for assessments.
• Promote creativity, critical thinking, and confidence through visual expression.
• Assess and monitor progress, offering constructive feedback.
• Participate in school events, exhibitions, and art-related extracurricular activities.
• Ensure a safe and inclusive environment in line with safeguarding standards.

Candidate Requirements:

• Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a subject specialism in Art.
• Sound knowledge of art history, techniques, and curriculum expectations.
• Experience teaching Art in a secondary school setting is desirable.
• Effective communication and classroom management skills.
• Flexible, creative, and committed to inclusive education.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
