Job summary

A creative art consultancy is looking for an Art Account Manager to manage a portfolio of clients in the hospitality industry. The role involves account management, promoting artworks, and providing consultancy to enhance client spaces with art. The ideal candidate should have experience in art sales, excellent communication skills, and a strong passion for art and design. A degree in Art History or Fine Arts is preferred. Flexible working hours and a valid driving licence are required.

Art Account Manager

We are building a team that will help grow Elegant Clutter’s art and sculpture business in the hospitality industry on a global scale.

Purpose of the Job

The primary focus is on customer satisfaction, retention and upselling. This role focuses on building professional relationships with clients to understand their needs, address concerns and ensure that the company’s products and services meet their expectations. Responsibilities also involve promotion of artworks and services to prospective clients.

Job Content – Duties and Responsibilities
  • Account Management – Proactively manage your own portfolio of accounts/clients, including interior designers, hotel owners/operators, and hospitality procurement teams.
  • Account Growth – Identify opportunities for account growth and expansion. Develop a thorough understanding of the clients’ position in the market, their services, client/customer base, points of difference and competitive landscape. Visit clients, attend trade shows and other industry events to capitalize on networking and relationship building opportunities.
  • Art Consultancy – Play a vital role in curating art collections, developing in‑house art solutions as well as sourced art, enhancing spaces through thoughtful art integration. Stay informed on current art trends, emerging artists and market values.
  • Client Engagement – Proactively remain connected to clients and the ever‑changing market to access new opportunities. Ensure all viable clients are engaged on a regular and effective basis.
  • Risk Management – Identify the primary risks and issues, consider possible outcomes by engaging internal experts early in the process.
  • Conversion – Coordinate and prepare project costing to ensure timely issuance of project offers, including ball‑park or defined budgets.
  • Client Communication – Regularly communicate with clients to understand their requirements, creative and commercial direction. Manage their expectations by issuing project timelines with key milestones.
  • Internal Administration – Accurately report internal administration, including CRM database, sales pipeline forecasting and turnover reporting.
  • Problem Solving – Troubleshoot to overcome issues or challenges faced by clients.
  • Brand Representative – Be the brand ambassador of our company by representing your team externally with clients and internally by collaborating with Project Management and the internal Project Team.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Art History, Fine Arts or a related field (desired not essential). Proven experience in interior design, art sales, curation or consultancy.
  • Proven working experience in a project management environment.
  • A client‑focused approach and the ability to manage a diverse range of situations.
  • A positive and assertive disposition suitable for managing pressurised projects.
  • A good eye for detail and design.
  • Strong research and procurement skills.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels with clients and suppliers.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (essential) and Adobe In‑Design (desired).
  • Excellent client‑facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to quickly understand numbers and prices to negotiate financial terms with clients easily.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • The ability to come up with practical solutions supported by common sense.
  • A keen interest in art and design would also be essential. Minimum of 2‑4 years of experience in a related field.
  • Flexible with irregular working hours; client meetings or installations can occasionally take place outside of office hours.
  • A driving licence and your own car are required.
