Job description
Overview

You’ll primarily maintain and inspect Land Rovers and MAN SV trucks, while supporting a wider fleet of specialist military vehicles and equipment. Training will be provided to help you gain both Military Vehicle Inspector (MVI) status and a full Category C (HGV) driving licence, if not already held. Both will be essential to the role once appointed.


Responsibilities


  • Servicing, diagnosing faults, and repairing a wide range of Army vehicles and plant

  • Conducting mandated inspections to Defence and civilian engineering standards

  • Using the Joint Asset Management and Engineering Solution (JAMES) – strong IT skills are essential but training on this platform is available

  • Maintaining accurate documentation and audit-ready maintenance records

  • Deploying to other sites across London when required to support dependent units

  • Applying Safety, Health, Environment and Fire (SHEF) policies at all times

  • Using and safeguarding tools, test equipment, and workshop machinery safely

  • You’ll work predominantly on Land Rover variants and MAN Support Vehicles, but gain experience across a broad fleet, ensuring variety and engagement in your day-to-day role


Training and Qualifications

We provide full training to support you in gaining your Military Vehicle Inspector (MVI) qualification and a full Category C (HGV) licence if not already held. Both of these will become essential to the role once appointed.
