Overview

Area Sales Manager - Northern Ireland and Counties Sligo, Donegal, Leitrim, Monaghan, Cavan and Dundalk in Co Louth. Ownership of designated sales area with responsibilities to sell the product according to set targets and provide ongoing excellent customer service to the existing client base. Seek out new business opportunities among both existing and new customers. Maintain strong relationships. As the front line of the company, you will be an exemplary ambassador for us at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Gaining orders from existing clients in accordance with set targets & goals
  • Growing existing clients in accordance with set targets & goals
  • Identifying and getting new clients on board in accordance with set targets & goals
  • Customer care
  • Problem resolution if client experiences any issues with product
  • SUGgesting alternative products when initial choice is not available
  • Nurturing client relationships
  • Visiting clients regularly
  • Phone and email support
  • End user contacts where required
  • Make sample boards
  • Query resolution
  • Observing the market & competition and identifying gaps that our products can fill both in a long term and short-term capacity
  • Knowledge of product — being aware of all product specifications (diagrams, conformity marks etc)
  • Launch new products — in-house demonstrations and in-house breakfast mornings
  • Technical support for clients when they have queries or issues, using your technical knowledge and being aware of supports and online information tools that brands provide
  • Managing rebates
  • Reporting as required
  • Constant awareness of statistics using company tools such as “Phocas”
  • Returns & credit note processing
  • Provide quotations for customers when required
  • Liaising with all internal departments as required to ensure smooth running of the business
  • Attending meetings as required
  • Some overnight stays may be required in the course of your role
  • Occasional trips to other companies within the Scolmore UK Group may be required from time to time
