  • Technical Consulting – conduct site visits to understand client requirements and provide tailored technical proposals for PLCs, HMIs, variable speed drives, sensors, control gear, switchgear, etc.

  • Relationship Management – maintain and expand existing accounts by becoming a trusted “partner” and technical advisor.
  • Quotations & Proposals – prepare detailed technical quotations and handle negotiations regarding payment and delivery terms.
Requirements & Skills
  • Education – a degree or HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field is desirable but an ability to demonstrate industry knowledge is acceptable.
  • Experience – proven track record in B2B technical sales, preferably within industrial automation or capital equipment.
  • Technical Knowledge – familiarity with major platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, Schneider Electric) and industrial protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
  • Communication – ability to explain complex technical concepts to both engineering teams and non‑technical stakeholders.

As is usual you will be working to achieve defined sales targets and capable of developing a personal plan in order to achieve your objectives through managing and further developing an existing portfolio of accounts whilst constantly striving to identify new avenues of business. Working Monday to Friday around normal office hours, although this is an external sales role requiring road travel so flexibility is expected in order to meet the needs of the business. Excellent attributes such as good organisational and communication skills, along with the ability to be an effective team player whilst enjoying a level of autonomy are essential, as are capability with Microsoft packages.
