Overview

Area Manager – Remote, with regular travel across Somerset and Cornwall (Clevedon, Exeter, Plymouth, Taunton, Topsham, Torquay, Truro, Weston-super-Mare).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £55,000–£60,000 per year + £5,000 car allowance + bonus up to £12,000

Hours: 40 per week (08:30–17:30, flexibility required)

Job Scope

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Area Manager to oversee multiple branches delivering visiting and live-in care services across the South West. The Area Manager will provide leadership to Branch Care Managers and their teams, ensuring outstanding care, compliance, and operational performance.

As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for managing growth and risk across your area, maintaining CQC standards, and supporting the recruitment, induction, and development of staff. The role requires a strong focus on performance management while creating a positive and value-driven culture.

This is a field-based position, requiring regular travel to each branch (minimum twice per month). The Area Manager role offers autonomy, challenge, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the region.

What do you need?
  • Multi-site management experience within healthcare (domiciliary care preferred, but open to NHS or other regulated care sectors).
  • Strong understanding of CQC compliance and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in managing performance, growth, and risk across multiple sites.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel frequently.
