An award-winning architectural practice in Gloucester is seeking a skilled Architectural Technologist to produce technical drawings, develop construction packages, and ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in a UK architectural practice and be proficient in Vectorworks and ArchiCAD. Qualifications

  • Proven experience working in a UK architectural practice.
  • Solid knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning policy.
  • Proactive, organised, and keen to continue developing technically and professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and coordinate detailed technical drawings from planning through to construction.
  • Develop construction packages, technical details, schedules, and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and technical standards.
  • Work closely with architects, consultants, contractors, and clients.
  • Assist with technical problem-solving throughout all RIBA stages.

Skills

Proficiency in Vectorworks
Proficiency in ArchiCAD
Strong technical knowledge of building construction
Excellent communication skills

  • Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, planning conditions, and technical standards
  • Work closely with architects, consultants, contractors, and clients to support project delivery
  • Assist with technical problem-solving throughout all RIBA stages
  • Use Vectorworks and ArchiCAD to a high technical standard
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience working in a UK architectural practice
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of building construction and detailing
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks and ArchiCAD is essential
  • Solid knowledge of UK Building Regulations and planning policy
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
