NSP Architectural is a family‑run residential architectural design studio working across Essex and London. We specialise in extensions, loft conversions and residential renovations, delivering design‑led solutions underpinned by technical clarity and well‑resolved drawings.

Role Description

Due to continued growth, we are looking to expand our freelance consultant team and are seeking an experienced, self‑employed CAD / Architectural Drawing Consultant to support our residential workload on a remote basis. This is a freelance / consultant role only. We are not recruiting for an employed position. The role will focus on producing clear, accurate and well‑structured drawing packages for planning and building regulations stages, working from measured surveys, sketches and design mark‑ups provided by the studio.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of AutoCAD drawing packages for planning and building regulations
• Translating measured surveys and design information into accurate architectural drawings
• Coordinating drawing revisions as projects progress
• Maintaining drawing accuracy, consistency and technical clarity
• Working independently while aligning with studio standards and deadlines

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (essential)
• Proven experience on UK residential projects (extensions, lofts, renovations)
• Good working knowledge of UK planning requirements and building regulations
• High level of attention to detail and drawing accuracy
• Comfortable working remotely and managing workload independently
• Freelance / self‑employed status
• Experience with Revit or other software is beneficial but not essential.
