Simpson Studio is seeking a talented and ambitious architect to join our Edinburgh team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-end
residential and commercial projects, delivering detail-driven, beautifully crafted designs. We are a multidisciplinary studio with offices in Edinburgh and London, overseeing all design elements in-house, from architecture and interiors to bespoke joinery. Our holistic approach ensures a seamless process and outstanding results.

The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled architect with experience in high-end residential projects. The ideal candidate will be driven, detail minded, and reliable, with the ability to multi-task and manage complex workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects across all RIBA stages (0-6), ensuring seamless delivery.
  • Liaise confidently with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Oversee technical design and detailing, ensuring compliance with UK building regulations.
  • Manage and coordinate work on-site, including contract administration (JCT experience preferred).
  • Work collaboratively within a close-knit team, contributing to the studio’s creative and technical expertise.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3-5 years’ experience as a qualified architect, ideally in high-end residential projects.
  • Strong project-running experience, from concept through to completion.
  • Excellent design sensibility with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks, Adobe InDesign, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong time management and ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
