A specialist criminal justice organization is seeking an Approved Premises Manager to lead the rehabilitation of high-risk individuals in Newcastle upon Tyne. This role involves overseeing risk management, ensuring effective operations, and fostering collaboration with partner agencies. Qualifications include Probation Officer, Service Manager, Criminal Justice Practitioner, Safeguarding Lead, Social Worker, Probation Manager, Residential Services Manager, Criminal Justice Services Manager.
Salary: circa £45,000 per annum.
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, North East England.
Occasional travel across the local area and nationally may be required, but will use remote technology when possible.
Job type: Full‑time, permanent. Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. On‑call rota required; work outside normal hours occasionally.
We have a new role for an Approved Premises Manager with a Diploma in Probation Studies or Level 3 Diploma in Probation Practice or equivalent, or a registered Social Worker (BA (hons), MA/MSc in Social Work). The organisation operates two Independent Approved Premises in Newcastle, providing 46 beds and delivering enhanced supervision for high‑risk individuals.
As Manager you will oversee risk management, lead practice quality, staff development and continuous improvement, and work closely with partner agencies to enhance public protection.
This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check with the additional barred list check.
