Job summary

A local childcare nursery in Stockport is offering an apprenticeship for someone who is passionate about childcare. You will be responsible for supervising children, implementing age-appropriate activities, and supporting their overall development. Candidates should have GCSEs in Maths and English. Responsibilities

About this opportunity

An amazing apprenticeship opportunity where you will learn to plan and supervise child activities, ensure children's well-being and safety, and work with families and other professionals to support children's development and learning.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Assist in the supervision and care of children, ensuring a safe, secure, and stimulating environment
  • Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Help prepare and serve snacks and meals, encouraging healthy eating habits
  • Maintain a clean and tidy environment, supporting with daily cleaning tasks and hygiene routines
  • Contribute to observations and assessments of children’s progress, supporting their individual learning journeys
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Attend training sessions and complete all coursework and assignments as required by your apprenticeship programme
  • Follow all nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality
