Job summary

A UK healthcare trust is seeking an Apprentice Dental Nurse to contribute to a high standard of dental care. Apprentice Dental Nurse

The closing date is 18 December 2025

To work towards completing Level 3 Dental Nursing qualification and in doing so provide clinical support to dentists, hygienists and patients, assist clerical duties as required and perform such other tasks as reasonably requested by the Senior Dental Nurse and/or Paediatric Dental Co‑ordinator.

Main duties of the job

This will involve training and working as part of the Paediatric multi‑disciplinary team to deliver a high standard of dental care to our patients, many of whom have complex needs. S/he will ensure the effective day‑to‑day running of the department and will assist the clinicians in all aspects of patient care including General Anaesthesia and Inhalation Sedation.

Employment is subject to a six‑month probation. Some roles may require weekend shifts at multiple sites.

Education
  • Not already be in full time education
  • Not already be doing an apprenticeship or government funded qualification
Position requirement
  • Resided in the UK for 3 consecutive years
  • Have the right to work and study in the UK for the duration of the apprenticeship: visa/passport evidence
Experience
  • Demonstrate experience of applying self to learning
  • Demonstrate ability to work within a team and on one's own initiative.
  • Experience of working within a multi‑cultural and diverse community
  • Experience of working within a multi‑disciplinary team
