Job description
Role overview

We are seeking a clinical or counselling psychologist or child and adolescent psychotherapist. This is an exciting new post to develop and ensure the systematic provision of a high quality specialist clinical psychology service to families and staff in the neonatal teams and inpatient paediatric teams at Epsom and St Helier. The postholder will work autonomously, within recognised professional guidelines, as part of the teams and will utilise knowledge of evidence-based psychological interventions and research skills to implement audit, research and service development projects. The postholder will be involved in the training and continuing professional development of clinical psychologists and other health professionals and will be part of the wider paediatric psychology team and the Trust Clinical health psychology provision.

  • Provision of specialist psychological advice and consultation to multi-disciplinary teams – neonatal and paediatric inpatient
  • Supporting neonatal staff teams
  • Liaison with wider specialist services
  • Service audit and evaluation
  • Participation in wider neonatal network
