We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Applications Engineer to join our reputable team at Dalair LTD, part of the Swegon Group. In this role, you will play a vital part in the design, configuration, and technical support of our bespoke Air Handling Units and HVAC solutions, supporting our expanding UK client base. This is a full‑time, permanent position, based in Wednesbury with opportunities for professional growth and development within a market‑leading company.

Key Responsibilities: Applications Engineering & Technical Support
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients and colleagues throughout the application, design, and implementation stages of bespoke Air Handling Unit projects.
  • Support Sales and Design Teams by interpreting client requirements, identifying optimal system configurations, and preparing accurate technical proposals.
  • Liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure smooth transition of projects from initial enquiry through to delivery and commissioning.
  • Prepare technical documentation and detailed equipment specifications tailored to customer needs and project constraints.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, presentations, and training to clients as required.
  • Assist in resolving technical queries and providing after‑sales support to strengthen customer relationships.
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives for product and process optimization within the engineering team.
Experience & Qualifications: Requirements for Applications Engineer
  • Proven experience in an engineering or applications support role, ideally within a HVAC or building services environment. Related industry experience will be considered.
  • Strong technical understanding of engineering systems, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills with a customer‑focused approach.
  • Effective communication skills for working with cross‑functional teams and external clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CAD or engineering software is advantageous.
  • Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (desirable, not essential).
  • Ability to commute/relocate to Wednesbury is required.
