Who we are looking for...

We’re seeking a motivated and technically capable Application Specialist with a degree or higher in analytical chemistry or a related scientific field. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with experience in laboratory-based analysis, preferably elemental analysis, and a desire to apply that knowledge in a customer-focused application-driven environment.

You’ll need excellent communication skills and a strong customer service orientation as this role involves delivering training demonstrations and technical support both remotely and on-site. A keen attention to detail, along with a structured and independent working style, is essential. You should be confident managing your time, prioritising tasks and adapting to changing demands.

Above all we value team players who bring a proactive curious mindset and a drive for continuous improvement. A willingness to travel (up to 20% within the UK and Europe) is required.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Carry out and evaluate application measurements to support product performance and relevance
  • Deliver technical product demonstrations, webinars and training (on‑site and remote)
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments ensuring high performance and reliability
  • Support customers throughout the pre‑sales and post‑sales process
  • Develop tailored application solutions based on specific customer needs
  • Present technical findings clearly to both customers and internal teams
  • Contribute to application development and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with R&D on prototype testing and validation activities
  • Ensure all work complies with quality standards and project objectives
