Qualifications

  • NMC/HCPC registration is essential for this role.
  • You must have minimum 1 year post-graduate experience.
  • Recent UK experience of at least 6 months is required.

Responsibilities

  • Safely identify, prepare, check, and assemble anaesthetic equipment.
  • Prepare and organise the clinical area for patients.
  • Support patients and families, communicating clinical information.
  • Demonstrate clinical assessment skills for surgical procedures.
  • Contribute to patient care development in the operating theatres.

Locum Anaesthetic ODP | Bristol

Are you an experienced Anaesthetic ODP with experience in Childrens Theatres - Cardiac looking for your next locum opportunity? We have an exciting role available at the Bristol Royal Infirmary.

Pay: £16.50 - £21.20 per hour

Shifts: Monday - Friday, 08:00-18:00

Location: Bristol

Weekly Pay: Fast, reliable weekly payments

Join a supportive anaesthetic team in a busy theatre environment, contributing to high‑quality patient care across elective, emergency, and trauma procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely identify, prepare, check, and assemble anaesthetic equipment
  • Prepare and organise the clinical area to receive patients for elective, emergency, and trauma procedures
  • Actively support patients and their families, communicating clinical information effectively
  • Demonstrate and develop clinical assessment skills, prioritising care for patients undergoing surgical/anaesthetic procedures
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of patient care within the operating theatres by sharing knowledge and expertise
Essential Qualifications
  • Current NMC/HCPC registration
  • Minimum 1 year post‑graduate experience
  • At least 6 months recent UK experience within the last 3 years
