Job Type: Permanent

Location: This role could be located at either our Birmingham, Telford, Edinburgh or London Offices with the flexibility for remote working.

We’re pleased to announce an exciting new career opportunity for a Reporting Analyst to join our Policyholder Performance and Asset Reporting team within the RS&AM Finance Function here at Phoenix Group.

What are we looking for?
  • Support the doer/checker data management processes to maintain fund benchmarks and other slow moving/static data held in the relevant repositories. This includes updates to downstream systems (e.g. AC and Bancs).
  • Run checks to confirm data received is complete and accurate before being used in calculations and reporting
  • Source required data from market data vendors and fund managers
  • Assist with the regular running of EUCs to transform data and calculate metrics, applying appropriate controls to mitigate risk of error.
  • Support the Performance Reporting Specialists and Senior Analyst with monitoring and analysing the performance of policyholder funds including maintaining fund watchlists and action plans.
  • Involvement in the production and distribution of policyholder fund data and reporting to internal stakeholders and governance committees.
  • Regular contact with the key teams to understand data and other changes which impact funds
  • Participation in programme/project work including inputting into requirements and build and testing of new reporting tools and processes
  • Ongoing documentation of processes , procedures and controls
  • Ensure processes are performed in accordance with the Policyholder Performance Reporting Framework and other applicable policies
  • Implementation of continuous improvements to processes to ensure are as efficient and effective as possible
What are we looking for?

Essential

  • Data management experience including great attention to detail and proactively investigating and solving issues
  • Proven capability for working to demanding deadlines and to identify flawed input data, assumptions and/or processing.
  • Excellent presentation skills with a proven ability to provide clear and succinct descriptions of data limitations and assumptions used
  • Ability to effectively structure and analyse data and investigate anomalies
  • Some functional knowledge of fund structures/end-to-end investment management technology / operating models, and downstream consumers / value chain in financial services industry
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint with some knowledge of reporting tools such as Power BI
  • Keen to learn, and proactive in identifying possible improvements and efficiencies
