Overview

Responsible for the sales and business development of SPXFLOW Pump brands, products, and aftermarket services to customers in the Central European Area, especially Germany and Benelux. Proactively interacting with existing and new customers to expand the customer base, develop customer relationships, troubleshoot specific customer concerns or problems, generate leads and opportunities, with the objective of achieving the specified sales and business development targets. Developing and implementing strategies to increase sales and profitability with existing customers and provide support to the current sales team and to channel partner network.

Responsibilities
  • Sell and promote SPX FLOW Pump brands, products, spares, and aftermarket services in assigned territories, either directly to the Customer or via Local Agents / Distributors (where necessary).
  • Communicate regularly and consistently with existing and potential Customers to generate leads and opportunities.
  • Liaise with Customers and conduct on-site meetings as necessary to understand requirements, obtain order commitment, finalize designs, and resolve concerns / complaints.
  • Coordinate with the Service Operations team to facilitate support to customers for equipment and product servicing, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Work closely with the Field Service Technician by planning and coordinating site visits, plant audits, Pump health checks, service work, etc.
  • Develop and expand relationships with existing and potential Customers which includes End Users, System Integrators & EPCs.
  • Follow up with Customers to ensure SPX Flow products and aftermarket services are meeting their requirements and expectations.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports (forecast, customer visit report, etc.) showing sales volume including potential sales, monitored against the budget, with action plans to address & limit variations.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other Regional Sales Managers, sharing information and opportunities.
  • Understand current and future needs of Customers and advise on the appropriate SPX Flow products and aftermarket services to meet their requirements and propose alternative solutions as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical) or equivalent experience.
  • Min. 10 years' experience in a commercial role specific to the European Market.
  • Strong working experience of SAP and Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, and Power BI.
  • Experience in and willingness for extensive travel in Central Europe, particularly in Germany and Benelux.
  • Candidates with direct Pump experience or industrial rotating equipment will be preferred.
  • Preference for candidates with a proven sales track record.
  • Additional Experience in the industrial market will be advantageous.
  • Strong expertise, particularly in Pump products and processes, enabling the provision of sophisticated technical solutions to clients.
  • Ability to speak & write German is preferred.
  • In-depth engineering knowledge to solve problems and provide technical solutions.
  • Ability to define a problem, assess risk, and develop recommendations for action plans.
