Qualifications

  • Experience working with primary-aged children in schools or clubs is essential.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is required.

Wraparound Care Venue Lead – £12.50 – £13.50 p/h
25 hours per week (term-time only)
Schedule: Breakfast Club: 7:45am-8:45am After School Club: 3:15pm - 6:00pm
Location: Great Bentley Primary School, Great Bentley, Colchester, CO7 8LD

Our Wraparound club at Great Bentley Primary School is looking for a confident and caring Venue Lead to oversee both clubs from January.
This is a term time role (25 hours per week), ideal for someone who enjoys leading a small team, building relationships with children and parents, and creating a warm, welcoming environment before and after school.

What You’ll Do:
  • Create a fun, inclusive, and welcoming environment before and after school
  • Lead and supervise a small team delivering high-quality wraparound care
  • Plan and run engaging, age-appropriate activities for children
  • Ensure all safeguarding, health & safety, and admin tasks are completed to a high standard
  • Build great relationships with children, parents, and school staff
What We’re Looking For:
  • Level 2+ qualification in Childcare, Playwork, or similar (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience working with primary-aged children in schools or clubs
  • Leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge and basic IT skills
