Senior Africa Travel Consultant – Remote

Long established specialist tour operator is seeking a highly experienced Africa Travel Consultant to service the travel requirements of our well established base. Offering a starting salary up to £34k pa dependent on experience and OTE of £50k pa uncapped, plus great working hours with no weekends.

Job Description

Taking calls and emails from clients regarding African holidays and itineraries.

Building rapport with clients and understanding their needs and requirements to create memorable journeys.

Creating itineraries and confirming travel arrangements, using in‑depth Africa knowledge and insight along with the resources this luxury tour operator provides.

Offering exceptional service with attention to detail, focusing on the special touches that make a holiday unique.

Performance is measured through ability to convert enquiries to bookings, client satisfaction and repeat bookings.

Package

Salary: up to £34k pa as a starting salary, with earnings potential on top of the basic salary. The realistic OTE is £50k pa, uncapped. This is a remote role with no weekend working. Educationals available too.

Experience

Previous and recent experience working for a tour operator, selling a variety of African destinations and itineraries. Preferably you have travelled to and have first‑hand knowledge of Africa. Our client will not consider candidates who have travelled to Africa but have no solid experience of selling it in a tour operations environment. This role requires someone highly experienced to work remotely and ‘hit the ground running’.
