Job summary

A leading aerospace inspection company in Redditch is seeking skilled individuals for visual and dimensional measurement of forgings. Candidates must have at least 3 years' experience with dimensional inspection equipment and familiarity with various quality processes. This role will involve daily inspections and requires UK citizenship. Position duration is 3 to 6 months with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience using dimensional inspection equipment.
• Hands-on experience with GD&T per ANSI Y 14.5.
• Must be able to interpret Blue Prints and drawings.
• Familiarity with Quality and Manufacturing processes.
• Preferably an inspection background in receiving and in-process inspection knowledge of FAI reports.

Responsibilities

• Support visual and dimensional measurement of Forgings.
• Daily inspection of Forgings checking for customer specification conformity.
• Further orientation to be performed onsite.

Overview

Inspection of Aerospace forgings for the main OEM’s

Visual inspection with some Forgings requiring manual dimensional assessment using all common manual measurement equipment.

Job Description:

• Customer is seeking skilled individuals to support visual and dimensional measurement of Forgings efforts at their facility.
• Daily inspection of Forgings. Resource will be checking for conformity to customer specifications, acting as a quality gate.
• Further orientation will be performed onsite.

Duration:

• 3 to 6 months

Frequency:

• 38.5hrs Monday to Friday 07:30 to 16:30 and Friday 07:30 to 12:30, although there can be additional hours and also flexibility.

Skill Requirements:

• At least 3 years’ experience using dimensional inspection equipment
• Hands on experience with GD&T per ANSI Y 14.5
• Must be able to interpret Blue Prints and drawings
• Familiarity with Quality and Manufacturing processes
• Preferably an inspection background in receiving, in-process inspection knowledge of FAI reports
• Boeing, Airbus, Spirit, Collins, Meggitt, Rolls Royce and some Defence Platforms.
• Must be UK Citizen
