About the Role

We are seeking an Advisor – Radiological Protection to join our Safety & Regulatory Affairs team at Rolls‑Royce SMR. This role plays a critical part in supporting the evaluation of radiation protection impacts on the Rolls‑Royce SMR power station and the integrated Environment, Safety, Security and Safeguards (E3S) Case, specifically demonstrating an ALARP position.

You will provide direct support to the Engineering function, ensuring awareness and justification for protection against radiation hazards. Your expertise will influence design decisions, regulatory compliance, and innovative approaches to radiological safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert input on radiological protection to Engineering and E3S Case teams.
  • Engage with regulatory and licensing authorities to support SMR licensing internationally.
  • Assess and manage compliance with radiological protection standards.
