Are you a Qualified Social Worker with advanced skills and a passion for making a real difference in the lives of children and families? We’re looking for an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join a busy but highly supportive Safeguarding & Child Protection Team in Greater Manchester.

In this role, you’ll be part of a dedicated team working to provide timely interventions and sustainable positive change — from early help to long-term care planning and permanence.

What We’re Looking For

• A Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
• Experienced (4+ years post-qualified) in child protection and statutory children’s services
• Confident in legislation, thresholds, and planning for permanence
• Skilled in complex assessments, case planning, and relationship-based practice
• An excellent communicator and collaborative team player
• Passionate about keeping children safe while empowering families

Key Responsibilities

• Complete detailed assessments of risk, need, and family dynamics
• Develop care and protection plans that promote safety, stability, and dignity
• Provide reflective support and guidance to less experienced staff and students
• Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to deliver joined-up care
• Ensure all interventions are child-focused, evidence-informed, and culturally competent
