We are seeking an Advanced Practitioner to join our dedicated Children with Disabilities Team in Rochdale. You will play a key role in supporting children and young people with disabilities, leading complex cases, and mentoring fellow practitioners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a reduced but highly complex caseload of children and young people with disabilities, including those under child protection plans.
  • Conduct detailed assessments and develop person-centred plans to promote independence and well-being.
  • Provide practice leadership, guidance, and mentorship to social work staff.
  • Support newly qualified social workers and students in their professional growth.
  • Lead safeguarding enquiries and interventions in line with the Children Act 1989 and local procedures.
  • Attend case conferences, legal planning meetings, and court proceedings, contributing expert input.
  • Work collaboratively with education, health services, and voluntary organisations to deliver coordinated care.
  • Contribute to service improvement through quality assurance and best practice initiatives.
  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
