Overview

An exciting opportunity for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our frailty team at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This role will play a key part in early intervention for older people experiencing frailty presenting in the ED, improving quality of care and patient outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Work in our Acute Frailty Unit (UFU) and SDEC.
  • Support the development of rapid access and ambulatory clinics.
  • Deliver advanced clinical care to those identified as frail, working closely with ward‑based medical doctors.
  • Assist in the transition to fully autonomous ANPs, promoting high quality care, experience and safe discharge.

  • Preferred experience within Frailty care.
  • Demonstrated commitment to learning and professional development.
Safeguarding & Training

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and is signed up to the Wirral Safeguarding Childrens Partnership and the Wirral Safeguarding Adults Partnership Board. Staff must complete mandatory Protecting Vulnerable People training and adhere to Trust policies.

DBS Information

Applicants must provide a DBS. The cost of submitting and processing the DBS is met by the successful applicant and will be deducted from salary in monthly instalments.

Apprenticeship Eligibility

Eligibility for apprenticeship is assessed on a case‑by‑case basis and is determined by residency requirements. Applicants should review UK Government guidance.
