Job description

This is a great opportunityfor a highly motivated and enthusiastic Advanced Nurse Practitioner who willbring their own skills and attributes and complement, strengthen and help shapeour existing clinical team of 3 GP Partners, 4 Salaried GPs and an ANP.

If you are an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner with heaps ofdetermination and a thirst for exciting new challenges, then this is the idealposition for you. As an integral part ofour clinical team, youll apply your nursing expertise and previous experiencein providing patients with top level of care

Main duties of the job

providing between 4 - 6 sessions per week you will be working in a GP surgery catering for 8,680+patients, working with GPs, the role will be based across two sites,Mattishall, and our branch surgery at Lenwade. focusing on the oversight ofpresenting patients, and patients living in care homes and their own homes inthe surgeries catchment area.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the GPswith the management of the presenting patient, children and young people,adults, frail and elderly patients, and house bound patients, including firstcontact interventions

About us

Mattishall & Lenwade Surgeries, located in Mattishall,Norfolk, serves over 8,680+ patients, providing primary care from Monday toFriday, 8am to 6:30pm. Extended access is available Thursday evenings until8pm, and on a rotational basis on Fridays and Saturdays across the Mid-NorfolkPrimary Care Network. Our branch in Lenwade, 7 miles north, operates Monday(8:30am 6pm), and Tuesday, Thursday,(8:30am 12pm) and Friday (08:30 - 5pm) .

Covering 100 square miles of rural mid-Norfolk, we serve 19villages, with most patients in privately owned homes and minimal socialdeprivation. We care for an average number of elderly patients, including thosein three residential care homes.

Our practice combines traditional care with innovation,adapting to primary care demands. We are high QOF achievers, a learning sitefor GP trainees, teach Year 1 medical students from UEA, engage in research,and offer a range of additional services. We are paper-light, fullycomputerised, using SystmOne.

Our dedicated team includes 3 GP Partners, 4 Salaried GPs,an ANP, managers for business, personnel, finance, and IT, practice nurses(including a nurse prescriber), pharmacists, dispensers, and administrativestaff. We maintain strong ties with local consultants at The Norfolk andNorwich University Hospital and Spire Norwich Hospital, 11 miles away.

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • Masters or equivalent qualification that includes the following four pillars: Clinical practice, Leadership and management, Education and research and a demonstration of core capabilities and specific clinical competence.
  • BSc (Hons) Nurse Practitioner (Primary Health Care).
  • Independent / Extended Nurse Prescribing Qualification
  • Clinical Mentorship / Supervision qualification (ENB 998 or completion of mentorship programme)
