Qualifications

  • Registered Mental Health or Learning Disabilities Nurse is required.
  • Candidates with CAMHS experience or newly qualified nurses are welcome.
  • Must successfully complete a Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assessments and therapeutic work within the Thrive framework.
  • Work with young people and their families to promote recovery.
  • Participate in activities including food preparation and safety management.

Skills

Experience of working with seriously mentally ill clients during acute phases of illness
Understanding of medication management issues and psychotropic medication
Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983
Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills

Education

RMN
Current NMC registration
ENB 998 or equivalent teaching/mentoring qualification
