Administrative Lead (FTC Until May 2026)

You will support and manage the administration within Centre Management, handling both routine and occasional management information. You will also process and support approvals related to JCQ. Additionally, you will assist the Head of Centre Management in monitoring key processes and ensuring provider regulatory adherence as needed.

Maintenance of departmental logs regarding risks and issues

  • Identification of key trigger points for potential risks/issues identified through areas of responsibility.
  • Identification of inactive centres and programmes.

Monitor Pearson providers to ensure continuous adherence to approval criteria

  • Monitor T Level providers in line with external stakeholders expectations, escalating risks as appropriate to the relevant teams

Work with internal teams to support centre mergers

  • Collaborate with Centre Quality Managers to ensure that centre mergers are processed on Pearson systems with minimal disruption to centres.

Management of GQ records to ensure that they are up to date and accurate

  • Actioning standard register centre address updates and ensuring that information entered in IQS is accurate and matches the NCN's records,
  • Managing JCQ centre dispatch blocks in iSeries in relation to address/secure storage changes or previous inspection actions.
  • Responding to QPD queries and providing updates on dispatch blocks.
  • Dealing with any other queries relating to GQ centre approval.
  • Notifying VQS of standard centre closures that have come through the NCN and withdrawing iSeries authorisation.
  • Supporting with reviews of inactive and non-compliant standard register centres and withdrawal of approval if necessary.
  • Working with the JCQ centre approval group to ensure that Pearson remains compliant with the JCQ General Regulations, and to ensure a consistent approach in line with the other Awarding Organisations within the group.

Processing of GQ applications

  • Supporting customers via CRM with their GQ applications to ensure that they are ready for inspection.
  • Review of application documents and supporting evidence.
  • Responding to customer queries during the application process and providing guidance on any actions that need to be completed prior to inspection.
  • Corresponding with NCN and JCQ CIS to arrange inspections and throughout the pre-registration process.
  • Reviewing inspection reports and comments. If applicable escalating concerns raised by JCQ CIS to senior management for further discussion.
  • Requesting new/reinstatement of NCN standard numbers.
  • Managing account set up and checking information entered in systems is accurate.
  • Administering application outcome letters to centres with feedback if appropriate.

Providing accurate information to external stakeholders in a timely manner

  • Update list of approved centres delivering Pearson Security programmes on a monthly basis and share this with the Security Industry Authority, keeping an accurate audit trail
  • Provide NCN with newly approved Pearson centre numbers
