We are looking for an experienced Admin Assistant to join our Richmond unit on a casual basis.

You will work as part of the team carrying out administration tasks efficiently and friendly, ensuring clients feel accepted, supported and confident about BPAS services.

By working as a Casual/Bank employee you will benefit from flexible hours that suit you as well as a pensionable income.

About You

You will have proven experience of working within an office environment, where you have carried out administration duties. You will be an excellent communicator both internally and externally and will demonstrate a friendly and positive attitude when interacting with clients, colleagues and external parties.

Main duties of the job
  • Answer and direct telephone queries, liaising with both internal and external colleagues, as necessary.
  • Accurately check or complete BPAS and legal paperwork, ensuring all relevant documentation is available for the client’s episode of care.
  • Monitor, edit and amend appointment list using the appropriate BPAS booking system, informing clients if changes to their appointment become necessary.
  • Assist in the monitoring, control and ordering of stock, sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare and dispatch statistical information and reports.
Additional experience required
  • Experience of dealing face‑to‑face with patients who may be upset within a care environment.
  • Knowledge of clerical procedures including checking documentation, telephone and reception duties.
  • Good attention to detail, supportive towards colleagues and clients and an effective team player.

Salary and shift pattern

Salary: £14.98 – £16.60 per hour – inclusive of OLW, depending on skills and experience.

Shift pattern: Ad‑hoc – as and when required to cover periods of annual leave and sickness in line with business needs. More to be discussed at interview.

Qualifications
  • English and Maths qualification either GCSE A to C, Functional Skills Level 2, GCSE 4* or NVQ level 2
  • Competent in Microsoft Office programmes including Word, Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Teams
