Overview

We are looking for a friendly and caring Admin Assistant to help the Home Administrator in providing comprehensive administration support together with reception duties. You will be the first point of contact to the visitors and staff at the care home, ensuring that all visitors and callers are dealt with efficiently and professionally, handling telephone enquiries, taking messages, dealing with emails and correspondence. Assisting in maintaining homely environment to our residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Home Administrator and carry out reception duties as required.
• Manage telephone enquiries, take messages and handle emails and correspondence in a professional manner.
• Ensure a welcoming and homely environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Hours of work: 20hrs per week over 4 days including every other weekend. Please note that this role is part of a job share between two people working a rota basis.

Knowledge / Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 2 years experience in a receptionist, administrative or clerical position
  • Confident with IT with the ability to use computer software such as Microsoft Office Packages
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Highly organised and ability to prioritise workload
  • Good interpersonal skills, being able to maintain positive attitude and considerate approach to residents, their families and other Care Home visitors
  • Minimum GCSE Or Equivalent English And Math Qualifications
