Job summary

The ideal candidate will support the Engagement Lead in planning and promoting a comprehensive activity program, ensuring residents' needs and interests are met. This permanent role involves 18 hours of work in a caring environment, focusing on the wellbeing of residents.

  • To hold a clean full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Engagement Lead in developing an engaging activity programme.
  • Promote a whole team approach to Engagement and Wellbeing.
  • Work with the Engagement Lead to plan activities.
  • Enter details of activities into residents' care plan using the MCM system.
  • Provide support and companionship during activities.

Duties And Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To
  • Support the Engagement Lead in developing an engaging and meaningful activity programme.
  • Promote a whole team approach to Engagement and Wellbeing; planning within the B&M activity framework.
  • To work in line with the Company's culture and ethos promoting Commitment, Connection and Compassion within daily duties.
  • Work with the Engagement Lead to plan activities for any hours on duty as Activity Organiser; ensuring there are suitable resources and the environment is appropriate.
  • Enter details of activities undertaken and levels of engagement in to the residents' care plan; using the MCM system
  • Prepare resources in advance and have the space set up as required.
  • Consult with the Engagement Lead on any plans and in particular to request any additional resources that may be required.
  • Provide support and companionship during activities.
  • Identify any special interest/s that each resident may have and plan activities to support this.
  • Ensure that areas around the home are attractive, safe and accessible for residents; reporting any concerns to the Engagement Lead.

  • Ability to motivate & encourage activities within the home suitable for all residents.
  • Effective communication skills, both written & verbal.
  • Strong IT skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to be flexible within role.
  • Ability to manage own time effectively.
  • To uphold confidentiality at all times.
  • To hold a clean full UK driving licence.
Desirable
  • Previous experience of event planning.
  • Understanding & knowledge of person centred care.
  • Desire to develop within role.
