Job description

The Pharmacy team at Pulse is currently recruiting for a Band 6 ACT Technician in Birmingham. The successful candidate will work full-time hours from Monday to Friday. We are seeking a ward-based pharmacist with previous experience.

Position: ACT Technician
Banding: 6
Location: Birmingham
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Duration: Ongoing contract

Typical duties include:

• Dispensing medications as prescribed by doctors and other medical professionals
• Reviewing prescriptions to ensure accuracy and suitability for the patient
• Providing information and advice about drugs, side effects, correct dosage, and proper storage
• Offering health advice, such as guidance on smoking cessation
• Maintaining records like pharmacy files, patient profiles, charge systems, inventories, and registries of poisons, narcotics, or controlled drugs

Essential skills:

• GPHC Registered
• Clinical Experience
• Relevant UK experience
