Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience in invoicing, payment allocation, customer account support, online shop admin and general finance operations-all while completing a Level 2 Accounts or Finance Assistant Apprenticeship (or Level 3 if suitable). You'll work closely with experienced finance staff who will support your development, help you build confidence, and teach you practical skills that will set you up for a successful future in finance. What you'll do:

  • You'll help raise and issue invoices, allocate payments, support debt management, update customer accounts and assist with monthly reporting tasks.
  • You'll maintain accurate financial records, resolve queries, support the college's online shop, and contribute to tasks such as reconciliations, petty cash handling and audit preparation. Every day will bring new learning opportunities and valuable experience.

  • You should have (or be willing to work towards) Level 2 Maths, English and ICT, good communication skills, strong attention to detail and a proactive, positive attitude to learning.
