Job summary

A well-established company in Kendal is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant. This role offers flexibility with a mix of home and office work over four days. Key responsibilities include bank reconciliations, invoice processing, and supporting the finance team. Ideal candidates will be AAT Qualified or QBE with prior experience in similar roles. Job description

A great opportunity is available for a well established Kendal company who are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant. This role is offering ultimate flexibility and can support candidates who want a mix of office / home working over 4 days. Ideally, the Accounts Assistant will be AAT Qualified or QBE and have previous experience working in a similar role.

Duties :

  • Reconciliation of weekly bank statements
  • Scanning, matching, and entering purchase order invoices
  • Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
  • Downloading monthly Barclaycard
  • Scanning and entering purchase expense invoices, ensuring they are coded correctly
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Supporting the finance team when required to ensure all finance tasks are completed when necessary
  • Other ad hoc duties when needed

Person specification:

  • Good knowledge of SAGE
  • Working to deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows packages
  • Excellent communication skills and organizational skills and be able to manage a busy workload independently
  • Being able to work on your own as well as being a team player
