Overview

Role and responsibilities

The successful candidate will hit the ground running with all areas of accountancy and will manage a portfolio of clients across various sectors, including the creative and media industries. Day to day duties include:

• Year end accounts and HMRC filing
• Management accounts on-going as/when client needs
• VAT calculation and submission
• PAYE for employees
• Self-Cert tax submissions for self-employed/directors
• Tax planning and business finance assistance
• Book-keeping duties

The above is not exhaustive; there may be other tasks and requirements. The successful candidate will build rapport with their portfolio and offer best advice and best practice. Good accountancy software experience is an added bonus, including systems like Xero, QuickBooks, KashFlow, etc.

Qualifications and requirements

• Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft 365; proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in a similar environment is highly valued
• Opportunities for learning, which may include AAT4, CIMA, ACCA
• AAT qualification level: ideally AAT4, with AAT3 acceptable; relevant experience preferred
• Working week is Monday – Friday, 9:00–17:00; hybrid arrangements considered for 1–2 days per week
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build client rapport
