Job summary

A growing fashion brand in London is seeking an Accessories Designer to create unique bags, jewellery, and hats. You'll design commercially viable pieces from concept to production, ensuring they align with the brand's aesthetic. Responsibilities include researching trends, creating detailed designs, and collaborating with manufacturers. Candidates should showcase a strong portfolio and have experience in 3D or CAD design. This contract is for 3 months with the potential for extension.

Responsibilities

  • Design bags and jewellery that align with the brand's aesthetic.
  • Research trends, materials, and silhouettes for design direction.
  • Create initial concepts, moodboards, sketches, and technical drawings.
  • Develop detailed tech packs for sampling and production.
  • Source and recommend materials and manufacturing partners.
  • Review prototypes and samples, providing feedback for improvements.
  • Maintain understanding of accessory trends related to the customer.

About Kai Collective:

As we expand into accessories, we’re looking for a visionaryAccessories Designerto help bring our vision to life focusing mainly acrossbags, jewellery and hats. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new category within a growing, culture-driven brand.

The Role:
You’ll be responsible for designing bold, unique, and commercially viable accessories that feel distinctly Kai. From concept to sample stage, you'll work closely with our team to create standout pieces that complement our ready-to-wear collections and speak to our audience.This is a fixed-term contract of 3 months, with the possibility of extension depending on project needs and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design bags and jewellery that are aligned with Kai Collective’s aesthetic, values, and storytelling approach.
  • Research trends, materials, and silhouettes to inform and inspire design direction.
  • Create initial concepts, moodboards, sketches, and technical drawings.
  • Develop detailed tech packs for sampling and production.
  • Source and recommend materials and manufacturing partners where possible.
  • Review prototypes and samples, providing clear feedback for improvements to manufacturers.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of accessory trends and how they relate to our langere? customer and market positioning.

Skills:

  • Have a strong, directional portfolio tredje showcasing accessories (bags and jewellery are key).
  • Understand how to merge aesthetics with functionality in a way that still feels fun and elevated.
  • Are deeply.berriched inspired by fashion, art, culture, and identity.
  • Have experience working with manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Are confident in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (or similar design tools).
  • Are highly organized, self‑motivated, and comfortable working independently.
  • Have a good understanding ofUALKai Collective brand and community - or are excited to get to know them.

Must Have:

  • Experience with 3D or CAD design.

Nice to Have:

  • Previous work with emerging or independent fashion brands.
  • Passion for building thoughtful, sustainable design processes.
