Job description
Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting and supporting the secretarial team in providing an efficient typing/clerical service. The role includes providing audio typing/clerical and administrative work to support the Admin/Clinical team so that patients requiring outpatient consultation or inpatient stay are processed in a streamlined manner that matches their needs to the referring Consultant, GP or other Healthcare Professional.

Responsibilities
  • Provide audio typing/clerical and administrative support to the Admin/Clinical team.
  • Assist and support the secretarial team to deliver an efficient typing/clerical service.
  • Contribute to a professional, courteous and efficient service to patients and staff at all times.
  • Operate with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and be able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
Requirements and Qualities
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, a flexible approach and the ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Dedicated team player with the ability to work professionally at all times and to be part of the leadership team and collaborate with administrative and clerical staff throughout the Trust.
  • Excellent communication and customer care skills are expected; knowledge of the healthcare/organisation environment is desirable.
