Job description
Overview

This is an entry-level consultant role for recent graduates and new graduates. We are looking for motivated, analytical and highly numerate individuals from all academic backgrounds to join our market-leading team based in London, starting in September 2026.

About the Role

In Economic & Financial Consulting (EFC), we provide expert advice on economics, finance, valuation and accountancy, in both complex commercial disputes and in industries undergoing regulatory change. Our practice is structured around two key service areas:

  • Valuation, Disputes and Arbitration, providing valuation advice from large public companies to small businesses, patents and complex financial derivatives. We advise on valuations in legal disputes, with specialist teams including:
  • Data and Economics, applying economic, econometric and statistical analysis on large data sets where cause-and-effect questions are important;
  • Capital Market Services, offering complex financial instruments trading, valuation and risk management expertise, with assets across financial services and energy industries.
  • Economic Regulatory, applying economic theory and experience to advise regulators and regulated companies on a range of issues.

Our clients include international law firms, FTSE 100 companies, multinational corporations, governments and regulators. We work across industries including financial services, energy and renewables, healthcare and telecoms.

What You’ll Do

Our graduates play a key role in project teams by performing industry research and developing the knowledge to perform detailed economic analysis and financial modelling. After comprehensive training, day-to-day tasks include:

  • Preparing and reviewing financial models, using Excel and databases such as Bloomberg and Capital IQ.
  • Using statistical software to perform econometric analysis of industry and market data.
  • Researching companies, markets or geographies to identify relevant industry features for the project.
  • Reviewing the regulatory landscape and drawing parallels with the client’s industry.
  • Summarising work in emails or memos, presenting results clearly and drawing conclusions.
  • Taking responsibility for the quality of the final product.
How You’ll Grow

We support you through a professional qualification to become either a Chartered Accountant (ACA) or a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). We also offer a comprehensive in-house learning and development program with a dedicated coach for guidance and career growth.

You will receive a competitive starting salary, a signing bonus, an annual discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. There is a defined career path with regular appraisals and opportunities for accelerated promotion for high performers. There may also be the opportunity for secondment to international offices. We encourage pro-bono work and other outreach activities, with access to leading valuation and damages experts in London (over 160 consultants).

Basic Qualifications
  • Have or be on track to receive a 2:1 degree or higher (or equivalent) from a university.
