2 x Female Personal Assistant / Carer – Sunnyhill, Derby

We are recruiting two caring and reliable Female Personal Assistants/Carers to support a lady living in the Sunnyhill area of Derby. The role focuses on promoting independence, wellbeing, confidence, and an active lifestyle within a supportive home environment.

Post 1 (Part‑time)
  • Hours: 6 hours per week
  • Schedule: Mondays & Tuesday, 10:30am – 1:30pm
  • Rate: £12.50–£13.50 per hour (dependent on experience and relevant training/qualifications)
Post 2 (Part‑time)
  • Hours: 7 hours per week
  • Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, 10:30am – 1:30pm
  • Rate: £12.50–£13.50 per hour (dependent on experience and relevant training/qualifications)
Main duties
  • Support daily routines and structure
  • Support with grocery shopping and practical tasks
  • Support with meal preparation, breakfast prompts and nutrition
  • Provide prompts and encouragement with personal care where needed (she is largely independent)
  • Assist with light household tasks
  • Accompany to appointments and regular local community activities
  • Encourage gentle wellbeing activities such as local walks, yoga, and mindful breathing exercises to support anxiety
  • Provide calm emotional support and reassurance
  • Promote health, confidence, and independence in daily living
Requirements
  • Female applicants only (Equality Act 2010 – Schedule 9 occupational requirement due to the personal nature of the role)
  • Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions (essential)
  • Flexible, reliable and compassionate approach to care
  • Urdu/Punjabi fluency (advantage‑ but not essential)
  • Full UK driving licence, own vehicle, and business‑use insurance
  • Enhanced DBS check and suitable references required
