Overview

Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) Location: LS13 Start Date: ASAP Pay: From £90 per day (depending on experience) Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Axcis Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child in a supportive and well-resourced primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with SEND experience who is passionate about making a difference in a child’s educational journey.

Responsibilities

• Working 1:1 with a primary-aged child with additional needs
• Supporting learning, emotional regulation and personal development
• Collaborating with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored support
• Full-time, term-time role – ongoing with potential for long-term placement

Requirements

• Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• A valid Enhanced DBS (Child and Adult Workforce) registered on the update Service
• A nurturing, patient and positive approach to working with children
• Ability to work closely with other staff members and follow the school’s individualised plans
