Job description
Overview

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant (KS2) with the requirement to cover lunchtime supervision duties. This role is to cover for a Teaching Assistant who has moved to a 1:1 role and is tied to the funding received for that child.

Working Hours

Working 32.5 hours per week 8:30am to 3:30pm with a 1/2 hour lunch break.

Contract

Fixed term contract tied to the funding received for the children, Term time only plus 5 school training days per year. (39 weeks per year)

Salary

Grade 5 SCP 5 to 6, £25,583 to £25,989 FTE. Actual £19,329 to £19,635 pa.

Responsibilities
  • Cover lunchtime supervision duties for the Teaching Assistant who is temporarily covering a 1:1 role.
  • Support children's learning so that a team approach ensures good and better progress for our learners.
  • Be part of a committed and hardworking KS2 team.
Qualifications
  • Enthusiastic, calm, well‑organised teaching assistant.
  • Recent experience of working with children in a primary school environment.
  • Knowledgeable and confident at supporting children's learning.
