One-to-One SEND Teaching Assistant (Ages 16-19)

Location: Burton on Trent (DE14)
Rate: £115 per day
Hours: Full Time (9:00‑16:30)
Start Date: ASAP

In this rewarding role, you will provide personalised one-to-one support to learners who require additional assistance across their main study programmes, as well as those retaking GCSE Maths and English.

About the Role
  • Provide 1:1 support for learners with additional needs, including those with EHCPs
  • Follow and implement personalised education plans
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and wider support teams
  • Assist during mainstream study programmes as well as GCSE Maths and English lessons
  • Be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes specialist teachers, teaching assistants, therapists, and counsellors
About You
  • Passionate about supporting young adults with autism and behavioural needs
  • Confident supporting both core academic subjects and practical activities such as cooking and sport
  • Calm, patient, and resilient, with a strong understanding of behaviour as a form of communication
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification, ideally within a relevant field
