AHS is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Yacht Accountant to manage the financial operations related to the maintenance and operations of luxury yachts. The Yacht Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects, including budgeting, accounting, and reporting, to ensure the effective management of yacht-related expenses and assets.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records for all yacht-related transactions, including operating costs, maintenance expenses, and crew payroll.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial statements and budget analyses specific to each yacht.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing.
  • Develop and monitor budgets for each yacht, analyzing variances and providing insights for financial decision-making.
  • Coordinate with yacht management teams to gather necessary financial data and support operational planning.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and reporting requirements for yacht ownership and operations.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of necessary documentation for tax filings related to yacht operations.
  • Track and manage insurance policies for each yacht, including renewals and claims processing.
  • Oversee audits and liaise with external auditors regarding yacht financials.
  • Provide regular financial reporting to senior management and stakeholders, detailing yacht performance and financial health.
  • Stay informed about changes in financial regulations that may impact yacht management and ownership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on yacht or luxury asset management preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of marine industry financial practices and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
