A leading offshore project company seeks an Umbilical Delivery Lead in Boulogne-Billancourt. The role involves overseeing the umbilical system from design to installation, ensuring compliance with project specifications and HSE standards. Candidates should have a minimum of 15 years in the offshore industry with direct experience in subsea umbilical design and installation. Fluency in English is required, with knowledge of French and Portuguese as a plus. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a cross-functional team.

Description du poste

The job holder is responsible, within the CPI and Subsea Package of the MzLNG project, for the technical activities related to the Umbilical Package. As such, the job holder is responsible for :

  • Review technical documentation from umbilical system provider to ensure that the umbilical will be delivered according to Project specifications and needs.
  • Review costs and schedule progress to ensure that the umbilical system is progressing according to plan.
  • Manage interfaces between the umbilical system, other equipment packages, and EPCI contractor.
  • Support installation team as needed with information related to the umbilical system.
  • Oversee umbilical system manufacturing and testing, through delivery to EPCI contractor.
  • Support umbilical system through delivery, installation, and commissioning.

The job holder shall be capable of working in a cross‑functional manner with the various package leaders and quality team to achieve technical solutions which meet the requirements of the concerned entities.

The Umbilical Delivery Lead is responsible for delivery of the umbilical system, including all ancillary hardware. The Lead will be the primary point of contact on the Project team for all items related to the umbilical system as defined in the Project. This includes technical, cost, schedule, and relevant interfaces.

  • Ensure that all Subsea Umbilical System activities are performed in compliance with a high regard to HSE requirements.
  • To ensure consistency of design, execution planning and operational aspects of the Subsea Umbilical System package.
  • To review and comment on project documentation (e.g. test procedures, interface matrix, assembly drawings) and comment on project documentation produced by contractors relative to the Subsea Umbilical System package.
  • To support the spooling and packaging of the umbilicals for safe transportation and installation activities.
  • To support installation team for load‑out activities and ensure readiness of procedure and equipment up to hand‑over point with installation contractor.
  • To participate to meetings and workshops with Umbilical contractors.
  • To witness termination and FAT / EFAT / SIT activities.
  • To follow interfaces between Umbilical and SPS Packages for the Subsea Distribution (UTA, ICJ's, HFL / EFL, etc.).
  • Provide reporting function towards the Subsea Package Manager for all work activities within area of responsibility. Bring to earliest attention of Subsea Package Manager issues which present a significant threat to the project and offer mitigating measures / work plans.

Minimum 15 years in the offshore industry and direct experience in subsea umbilical design, manufacturing, and installation.

Ability to multi‑task and work as part of small and flexible team, adopting a pragmatic approach to problem solving situations.

Availability to work at site and in‑country.

Fluid communicator capable of representing the project in front of third parties and other stakeholders in a professional and organized manner.

Fluent in English. French and Portuguese as a bonus.
